TERESA IMPERIALE-WESTERFIELD, APRN-BC
Teresa is excited to bring her Osteoporosis practice to DOCCS. She has over 20 years experience treating Osteoporosis and is recognized as a subject matter expert in this field. Teresa worked in Orthopedic Surgery in New York and developed her passion to treat Osteoporosis. She worked closely with physicians from both Helen Hayes Hospital in Haverstraw, NY and the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan, leading organizations in the field of Osteoporosis. Her expertise in bone health led her to develop Osteoporosis Treatment and Prevention programs in both New York and Florida.
During her 15 years experience doing Orthopedic Surgery, she treated trauma, sports medicine, and adult reconstruction patients. She has been teaching a national course for joint and trigger point injections to physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants since 2013.
Teresa is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Space Coast Clinicians, and the Bone Health and Osteoporosis Foundation and currently serves as a local liaison for this organization.
